- Les Cours, is offered for Holiday Hire subject to confirmation by Mr James Foster (The Owner) to the Hirer (the client).
- To make a reservation, the client should complete, and sign the booking form, and return it together with the initial non-refundable Rental deposit of 25% of the total letting fee. Following our receipt of this, we will send a confirmation letter, which is a formal acceptance of your booking.
- The balance of the hire, together with the security deposit (see#4) and any other applicable invoiced charge is payable not less than 8 weeks before the start date of the letting period. If payment is not received by the due date, the owner reserves the right to give notice in writing, stating that the reservation is cancelled. The Client will remain liable for the balance of the hire, unless; the owner is able to re-let the property. In this event, clause #5 of these conditions apply. Reservations made within 8 weeks of the start date for the letting, require payment in full, at the time of booking.
- The security / damage deposit cheque of £100 for the whole period of hire, is required along with the balance. The sum reserved by this clause does not limit the Clients liability to the owner. The owner will reimburse the client of this security within 7 days of the end of the letting date, less any charges made for damage / loss. A credit note will be presented to the client, accompanying the refunded security.
- Subject to clause #2 & 3, any client wishing to cancel a booking must do so in writing, and the following charges will apply. These are to be calculated from the date the owner receives the cancellation

The client is strongly recommended to take out a comprehensive travel insurance policy to include cancellation cover and to have cover for the client’s vehicle (recovery / breakdown) while travelling on the continent. Personal belongings and public liability insurance is not covered by the owners insurance, so it may be wise, not to overlook these small matters which all go to providing peace of mind while away from home.

- The rental period shall commence at 15:00Hrs on the first day, and finish at 10:00Hrs on the last day. The owner shall not be obliged to offer the accommodation before / after the times stated.
- The maximum persons to reside in Les Cours shall not exceed that of 8. (to include adults and children, but not babies)
- The client agrees to be a considerate tenant and to take good and reasonable care of the letting, leaving it clean and tidy at the end of the letting period, and to act in no way that may inconvenience or disturb other residents on neighbouring properties. The owners reserve the right to make retention of the security deposit in exceptional circumstances whereby; a need to employ specialist cleaners is a factor.
- It is advised that the client should report any faults, defects, or breakdown of any equipment, machinery appliances or furniture as soon as possible, in order to give the owner maximum opportunity to rectify the situation.
- The owner shall not be liable to the client: - for any temporary stoppage or defect in the supply of public services, for any loss or damage or injury which is deemed the result of adverse weather conditions, flood, riot, war, strikes, or other matters beyond the control of the owners. For any loss, damage, or inconvenience caused to the client if the property shall be destroyed or substantially damaged before the start of the letting period, and in any such event, the owner will refund to the client all sums previously paid in respect of the hire period. In no circumstances shall the owner’s liability to the client exceed the amount paid to the owner for the letting period in question.
- The client and party acquire no rights to the property other than, occupation as a holiday home for the period of the period booked, and it is agreed that sub letting, by the client shall in no way be legal under the terms of this contract.
- The use of any amenities is done so by the client entirely at their own risk. No responsibility will be accepted by the owners for any injury, loss, or damage to the visitor’s belongings or persons.
- There will be no pets brought onto site, without the owners written permission, and no camping is allowed on the property grounds.
- The agreement shall be deemed to be governed by French law.
- The signature provided by the Head of the party, is in effect, recognised as a signature on behalf of the party in its entirety, and responsibility lies firmly with the Head of the party, for the collective actions of the party.
- The use of private electrical goods in the gite is restricted to include hairdryer/curling tongs and electric razor. (This is an insurance based decision)
- The gite is non smoking inside.(This is an insurance based decision)
